Ruth Foreman Award
Received by Shirley Richardson and Patricia E. Williams.
In 2002, the M Ensemble Company received the Ruth Foreman Award. The Carbonell Awards cited the company's role in providing a cultural showcase for the Black experience and developing regional artist.
George Abbott Award for Outstanding Achievement in the Arts
Awarded to Shirley Richardson & Patricia E. Williams By the National Association of Negro Business and Professional Women’s Clubs, Inc. Dade County Club.

In 2015, Shirley Richardson and Patricia E. Williams jointly received the George Abbott Award for Outstanding Achievement in the Arts from the Carbonell Awards. The award recognized their decades of leadership of M Ensemble Company and their significant contributions to the artistic and cultural.
Kings of Harlem (2018 Carbonell Awards)

This production became the most successful Carbonell-winning show in M Ensemble's history. It won:

In total, M Ensemble received five Carbonell Awards that season, one of the strongest showings by any South Florida theater company.
